Regal ideas Railing, Stairs and Handrails Regal ideas

Regal ideas railing, stairs and handrails are for homeowners planning a deck or ramp. The range covers angled railing runs, fascia mounting, glass panels and stair components, so you can lay out those parts of the job together. Start with the layout.

Regal ideas Inc. manufactures aluminum railing and building products. Regal Aluminum Railing was its original product line. Its range also includes CrystalRail glass, QuickStep stairs and secondary handrails.

Aluminum railing for corners and mounting choices

Regal Aluminum Railing gives you five color choices, and the component range includes 45-degree posts, universal angle brackets and fascia mounting. Settle the mounting position early because it affects where the connections land. The framing behind those connections needs attention before the railing goes on.

Measure each run between the planned post locations. Overall deck dimensions leave too much of the parts list to guesswork. Mark every change of direction, mounting choice and stair opening on the drawing.

Glass where the view matters

CrystalRail uses 10 mm tempered-glass panels. Glass keeps the view through the railing, but fingerprints and water spots become part of the cleaning job. Plan for that upkeep. Regular glass cleaner is permitted on the glass.

Regal ideas also offers LED deck lighting; planning it early lets you coordinate its installation with the railing work.

Regal Aluminum Railing components carry limited, prorated 20-year coverage for defects in materials and structure under normal use, while glass products and low-voltage LED lighting each have one year of prorated coverage, subject to warranty conditions. Failure to follow the aluminum railing maintenance, care and use instructions voids its warranty.

Stairs and secondary handrails

QuickStep is Regal ideas’ stair system, and the stair range brings aluminum stringers, treads and connector kits into the project. Plan those pieces together. Establish the finished landing elevations before laying out the stairs because finish thickness affects the first and last step.

The ADA Secondary Handrail is intended for decks and ramps. Include it while laying out the railing so there’s room for its path and attachment locations.

Installation and regular care

Regal ideas directs you to check local building and fastener requirements with the local building department before starting. Follow the chosen system’s installation instructions and intended use, with the fasteners and supporting material settled before installation.

Plan to clean aluminum railing every three months and inspect fasteners annually, tightening any that have loosened. During cleaning, inspect house and deck attachments for corrosion and the supporting material for decay or rot. Keep abrasive cleaners and scrub pads out of the cleaning routine, and rinse with fresh water afterward to remove soap residue.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Regal ideas railing made of?

Regal ideas railing components are made from high-strength aluminum, but the powder-coated finish still needs regular care. Clean it every three months and rinse with fresh water afterward. A dry sponge can scratch the coating, so don’t use one to rub off dirt.

How do you install Regal ideas railing?

Regal ideas railing has component options that include 45-degree posts, universal angle brackets and fascia mounting, so your layout determines which connections you’ll use. Mark the corners, stair openings and mounting positions before assembling the parts. Follow the system’s installation instructions and local fastener requirements, and check the supporting material for decay or rot before attaching the railing.
