Feit Electric

Feit Electric light bulbs are for homeowners replacing lights in living rooms, bedrooms, garages and workshops. Household and specialty bulbs come in varied shapes and sizes to suit different fixtures. Start with the socket and the light you need.

Feit Electric is a family-owned lighting and smart-home manufacturer. It’s based in Pico Rivera, California. Its range includes household and specialty bulbs, home-decor lighting and fixtures.

Household LEDs that fit the fixture

For a shaded bedroom or living-room lamp, start with a conventional LED in the right shape and base. Check that the bulb has clearance under the shade or inside the fixture, and check its suitability for that fixture before installation.

Replacement wattage gives you a familiar comparison with an incandescent bulb. Use the lumen rating to compare brightness and actual wattage to check power use. Read both.

Soft white gives a bedroom a warmer feel; daylight gives you a cooler-looking white. Feit offers both shades in its dimmable designer single white-filament bulbs. Keep the white shade consistent across lamps you use together.

Decorative bulbs for exposed sockets

Feit’s vintage-style filament bulbs use LED technology and come in clear or amber glass. In an open fixture, the glass and filament become part of what you see. Judge the bulb both lit and unlit.

The designer single white-filament options below are dimmable. Pair a dimmable bulb with a compatible dimmer, especially when replacing incandescent bulbs on an existing control.

Choose the control you want to use

Feit’s household bulb range and direct Wi-Fi smart connection make the brand a practical fit for everyday replacements and phone-controlled lighting. Choose by how you’ll operate each room.

Feit’s color selectable bulbs let you pick preset white shades with a physical switch, operate independently of apps and Wi-Fi, and dim through a compatible wall dimmer.

For remote control and schedules, Feit’s smart bulbs connect directly to 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi without a separate hub and require app or voice dimming; use a standard on/off wall switch to supply power.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Feit Electric a good brand?

Feit Electric is a practical choice for household lighting if you want to get the white shade right. Its color selectable bulbs typically offer settings from 2700K to 5000K, so you can adjust how warm or cool the room looks without changing bulbs. That’s useful when a bulb that looked right in one room looks too cool in another.

How do you set up and use a Feit Electric smart bulb?

Feit Electric smart bulbs connect to your 2.4 GHz home Wi-Fi through the free Feit Electric app, without a separate hub. Once connected, you can set schedules, control the light remotely and adjust brightness in the app. The bulbs also let you adjust white light from warm to cool instead of choosing one fixed shade.

Can you use Feit Electric smart bulbs with a wall dimmer?

Feit Electric smart bulbs aren’t compatible with in-wall dimmer switches. Their dimming is built into the bulb and controlled through the app or a supported voice assistant. A conventional dimmable LED and a smart bulb need different controls, even when both say they dim.

Does Feit Electric make motion-activated LED shop lights?

Feit Electric makes a 46-inch cool-white LED shop light with motion activation and multidirectional lighting. Motion activation is useful when you enter the garage with your hands full. Light direction matters at a workbench, too, because your body can block light coming from behind you.
