Champion Metal Roofing and Siding Champion Metal

For Champion Metal roofing and siding, Taylor’s combined lineup has roof and wall options for homes, commercial buildings, and farm buildings. You can choose among standing-seam and corrugated profiles, painted steel, and coated aluminum to suit the job and the appearance you want.

Champion Metal’s experience is represented on Taylor Metal’s combined website alongside Rolled Steel Products and Valley Rolling. Taylor has offered custom metal roofing and siding since 1985. It operates branches across the western United States.

Choose the panel shape first

The profile changes the whole building’s appearance. Taylor offers standing-seam, corrugated, and concealed-fastener roofing and siding options. Standing seams give you long, straight lines; corrugated panels give you a repeating wave. Choose that shape before getting attached to a color.

For a house where the roof is visible, StreamLine is worth a look if you want a less pronounced rib and concealed fasteners. Its vertical rib is 1 inch high, with striations and accent ribs available to change the appearance between seams.

Taylor also lists a Board and Batten Siding Panel for a vertical board-and-batten wall pattern. Material is another choice: StreamLine offers painted steel, while Alumiguard is Kynar 500/Hylar 500 coated aluminum for exterior roofing or sidewalls.

Match StreamLine to the roof

Settle the roof pitch before choosing the finish. StreamLine recommends a minimum pitch of 3:12; lower pitches are subject to inquiry.

StreamLine’s pre-slotted fastener flange accommodates panel expansion and contraction. Those slots have a job to do, so follow the fastening details in the StreamLine installation guide.

Its vertical interlocking application allows installation from either direction, starting at any location. That gives you flexibility around roof interruptions. Lay out the seams around penetrations and flashing before fastening the first panel.

Compare standard colors and the custom matte look

StreamLine lists 18 standard colors, alongside ZINCALUME Plus and G-90 galvanized finishes. Taylor’s featured Versa-Span project shows a custom aged bronze matte Kynar 500 finish. That particular matte bronze is a custom finish.

Taylor’s Colors section displays swatches by branch location, and Taylor offers actual metal samples. A metal sample is the better basis for a color decision because you can see it in the light that will fall on the building. Compare it beside your siding and trim in daylight.

Care for the finish

Taylor advises regular debris inspections and checks that fasteners remain secure. Dirt and organic growth call for water and mild soap. Use gentle cleaning tools and keep harsh chemicals and abrasives off the finish.

Frequently Asked Questions

What colors does Champion Metal come in?

Taylor’s StreamLine panels offer 18 standard colors, plus bare metal finish options. The painted steel has a two-coat finish designed for exterior durability and color retention. A metal sample gives you a better read on the color beside your siding and trim than a screen does.
